Q:  What is the difference between “hors d’oeuvres” and “first courses / appetizers”?

A:  Hors d’oeuvres are typically served in a “tray-passed” manner prior to the meal.  First courses (also known as appetizers) are the first part of a plated dinner or buffet.


Q:  Do you offer gluten-free, vegan, or vegetarian catering menus?

A:   Yes! Chef Heng will design a menu taking into consideration the dietary needs of you and your guests. We are also able to offer gluten-free catering items upon request.


Q:  What is “fusion” catering? Is it all Asian food?

A:   Fusion food is derived by combining Eastern and Western Culinary traditions. Chef Heng cooks in a multitude of different cultures. The Asian culture is just one of those cultures.


Q:  Can I customize the menus according to my or my guests particular tastes?

A:   Absolutely! The sample menus on this website are merely examples of what can be done. We are limited only by imagination and budget! Chef Heng creates each menu to the desires and requirements of the event host or hosts.


Q:  I’m not sure I can afford to have my event catered. What does it cost?

A:  As with anything, it depends on many factors, but in general, our many years of experience allow us to provide menu options at a variety of price points. We collaborate to create your menu. We take into account all of your needs, including your budget.
